Samples Guidelines

Great care must be taken while obtaining samples. Selection of correct forms and containers are crucial to the testing process. Note that sample collection and transportation is not the responsibility of MBG Centre.

• Select the correct requisition form.
• Verify the type of samples and recommended containers for particular test in the sample collection guidelines.
• Samples that require being collected in a transport media must be send accordingly.
• Each sample should be sent in an individual container clearly marked with two unique identifiers (name and ID).
• Use closed systems for sample transport. Leaking sample containers are dangerous and will lead to sample rejection.
• Use the proper transport and storage conditions as outlined in the sample guidelines.
