Animal genomics play a critical role in animal health and disease. The sequencing of many animal genomes has helped to develop powerful tools with which to investigate
inherited traits and diseases. MBG animal genomics services deliver innovative, affordable molecular testing for furthers understanding of which animals are at risk
for particular diseases and to differentiate between different breeds of animals. The ongoing discoveries in this field can also lead to the development
of diagnostic tests and potential therapies for treatment, resulting in better health outcomes and early disease intervention.

Description
Metagenomics study’s different elements of the microbiome. The technology identifies a community of microorganisms present in biological sample, without the necessity of obtaining pure cultures. In MBG we utilize the next generation sequencing to facilitate the identification of large number microorganisms in the specimen.
The 16S and 18S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequencing is common amplicon sequencing method used to identify and compare bacteria present in unknown sample. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing is well-established method for comparing sample phylogeny and taxonomy from complex microbiomes or environments that are difficult to study.
The next generation sequencing of the 16s rRNA allows culture free testing from complex microbial samples to detect and identify several pathogens in parallel. The method produces a higher resolution in less time to results for bacterial identification compared to other identification methods
Panels Available
AGT-161 : Microbial Whole Genome Analysis
AGT-162 : Microbial 16S Genome Analysis
AGT-203 : Microbial 18S Genome Analysis
Method
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) inclusive of Bioinformatics analysis and Interpretation.
MBG Lab houses the state-of-the art, high resolution Gene Titan Multi-Channel (MC). The instrument is an automated High-throughput solution for monitoring gene expression and genome-wide SNP genotyping. The Instrument automates array processing from target hybridization to data generation by combining a hybridization oven, fluidics processing, and state-of-the art imaging device into a single bench-top instrument for use in genome-wide association studies (GWAS), replication studies, candidate-gene association, and targeted genotyping for animal genomics. GeneTitan MC Instrument delivers the highest throughput and laboratory productivity by minimizing user intervention and allowing unattended, overnight processing of large numbers of samples in parallel. This unique degree of hands-free automation means that the data is consistently reproducible.

Description
Microbial whole genome sequencing is significant tool for mapping genomes of novel microorganisms, re-sequencing known organisms, or comparing the genomes of across multiple samples.
Sequencing the whole genome of bacteria, virus, and other microorganisms is vital to generate reference genomes, identify microbes, and for other comparative genomic studies.
Next-generation sequencing (NGS) allows researchers to sequence many organisms in one run.
NGS can identify the genome rearrangements and the low frequency variants that maybe missed or are difficult to identify using other methods.
Method
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) inclusive of Bioinformatics analysis and Interpretation.
Analysis of the whole mitochondrial Genome. This can be used for evolution and ancestry studies. This assay can also be used for breed identification and mitochondrial related disorders.
